Comments about BigHeart Robert Johnson Legacy Bronze Slide:

I ordered this on a whim and was pleasantly surprised by the over all quality of it's construction. It comes with a little bag to keep it in as well which is a nice touch. This bronze slide has a sound and heft all it's own. There is a nice dark sound to it that gives a lot of body to the string when played against it. I liked it immediately and have taken to using it more than my brass slides and equally as much as my glass slides. Works great with finger picks and a standard plectrum

My favorite

Comments about BigHeart Robert Johnson Legacy Bronze Slide:

Slides are very personal items - what works for one guitar player doesn't necessarily work for another. On top of that, maybe there isn't one single slide that can cover all your needs. Having said that, this 'Robert Johnson' oversized slab of brass is simply the best slide I have ever played. Once I got used to the bulk of it, I could get those soaring and beautiful vibrato-tinged Mick Taylor tones out of it. Highly recommend this slide to anyone who is serious about quality sounds.

Great tone

Comments about BigHeart Robert Johnson Legacy Bronze Slide:

This slide is HEAVY, but that can be a good thing, once you just get used to the weight. With that weight, you get about twice the amount of sustain than with a ceramic or glass slide, and without a steel slide's harsh high end. Once you get used to the extra weight, you can use that to your advantage with your vibrato, and really get that puppy going. It's not cheap, but it's built to last forever, and sounds great.

Brass slide

Comments about BigHeart Robert Johnson Legacy Bronze Slide:

I've used several slides over the years, each having it's own distinct character, but the only one I ever use now is the Robert Johnson model. I was averse to spending over about ten bucks for a piece of metal but I took a chance and bought this one. I was always hating the brightness of the chrome slides and the glass didn't impress me either. One day I just decided to drop a few extra bucks and crossed my fingers that this one would be the slide I was looking for. Well, obviously it is because I will tell you that I felt it was necessary to review the Robert Johnson slide in case there were others who felt the same disappointment in slides. I'm no slide wizard but I know what I like and I know what tone I was hearing in my mind. This was IT the whole time ! I get tired of people giving rave reviews for everything so I don't want to come across as an "I love everything" reviewer but if you play slide, instead of settling for something you're not really happy with, spend a couple of more bucks and get the slide that actually enhances tone and if you're like me, you will improve your slide work because you'll play more ! What better recommendation can you give ? Nice little leather pouch to store it in also !
