Comments about Audix T-50K Inline Impedance Matching Transformer:
This is the right tool for when you want to plug a standard XLR microphone into a guitar amp. Guitar amps are made for high impedance pickups, whereas microphones are generally low impedance. This device has a tiny transformer built into it that matches the two impedances so that they work. You can even use it to run a mic into an effects box, like a looper, a distortion box, or delay pedal and get some really neat vocal or percussion effects!
But what I really like about the Audix is that it has a bit of cable between the two ends, which lets the mic end hang down instead of sticking straight out. It seems like it will put less wear on the guitar amp input, and it will not present a tripping hazard for someone walking past the amplifier.
Great little device.
