This Analysis Plus' Black Oval instrument cable has silent 1/4" plugs (1 straight, 1 angled) that enable you to switch instruments without running to the amplifier and turning down the volume. The silent plug is a special version 2-pole plug (mono plug) with an integrated switch which automatically mutes (shorts) a guitar cable to avoid annoying pops and squeals when hot swapping guitars. The unique design, with its spring-loaded ground sleeve, creates a more reliable switching plug than others on the market, with a 1/2-inch profile that fits your guitar.
What Analysis Plus considers to be its best flex-and-feel instrument cables, the Black Oval series is an ROHS compliant, completely green cable that sounds as good as it feels. The cable has 20 gauge conductors, a conductive sheath to eliminate microphonics, and an oval center conductor with a hollow oval return.

I ordered 1 online after trying one at a guitar store and was amazed at the sounds I heard. When I received it, I quickly did an AB with Planet Waves cables that had the kill switch. Cleaner, clearer, less harsh. Silent plugs are a must. Pure joy and smiles when plugged in because the true character of your guitar will shine through. Don't spend thousands on your guitar and scrimp on a lead! After a few months, I was so impressed I just ordered another! I might dare say that it offers more bang for the buck than the Mogamis and Monster Cables out there. Great price for excellent product! As an aside, I had some issues with my order and called customer service. Did not have to go through computer systems but spoke to a real person - which is so rare today. Service staff was polite and efficient. Thanks for the great service Music 123!

Until I tried this Analysis cable I thought that the primary difference between brands and price categories of instrument cable for the same length would the the RF shielding. Then I heard this cable and was surprised that it was louder, clearer, and brighter than the other brands I tried in an A-B test. The sound from the Analysis cable seems to be more accurate and even from the lows to the highs. My other 20 feet cable is muted in the highs compared to the Analysis cable. The silent jack works well, there is no humming, buzzing, popping or clicking when removing the jack at the instrument.
