These are the same stands as the cheaper brand sold here.
The build isn't too bad, but it's not great. Two steel posts, wrapped in cheap wood stapled together. A single small bolt screws into each post's end. MDF top and bottom plate, much, much lighter than the center steel posts. Really cheesy spikes and plastic feet.
I returned mine, since they didn't bother to send one of the top plates. And it's doubtful they would have been stable enough for decent speakers.

I was a little concerned that these stands would not be stable enough to support my Mackie studio monitors. The monitors are slightly larger than the stand platforms & they weigh 25 lbs. a piece. I followed the advice in the stand instructions and added 25 lbs. of # 9 shot (purchased from a local skeet range) to each stand. With carpet spikes, this resulted in very stable stands. With the rosewood sides, they look great in my home recording studio and I wasn't able to beat the Music 123 price anywhere. I'm very satisfied with this purchase.

Just got these last week. Like 'em a lot. cleared my desk space; now that I've bought 2 23" monitors. Pretty stable and look very nice too.
