Just brought one of these with my new cymbal pack and it sounds great! Although, try to avoid hitting it to hard when its standing alone. (not stacked they dent really easily) Sounds brilliant when u hit a 14" China at the same time in the middle of most songs :D

I didn't expect much from a ZBT although I read Transformer reviews and was hopeful. This cymbal is a waif to say the least, even thinner than a paper thin, you can bend it like a piece of(thick) paper and as such is not going to be as loud/strong as its China/Swish brethren. What it lacks in muscle it easily makes up for in sound. Transformer is a scrappy little cymbal that can easily hold its own when treated politely. It has waves formed in it sort of like giant Master sound/Sound edge crimps, on mine 4 peaks and 4 valleys. The crimps/waves are not precisely formed, more random, almost looking like someone crimped them by hand or accidentally. Heavy bashing will damage this cymbal easily, especially if you strike one of the peaks when its undulating wildly. Now for the sound, Ka'chuuussshh... smooth and sweet with an accent on the "sss" part, followed by the "shh" end which is pleasantly "dark". Transformer is Swissh/china like but without the initial "clang" you get with those cymbals. Stacked (and thats how you see it in the picture they have here) on another cymbal, the sound is a tight trasshhy sizzle. Alone or stacked, the Transformer comes off with a dark undertone, (almost "K" like) which is pretty cool, given its budget status/price. This is a gem of a cymbal, uncast (sheet bronze) and not wearing an expensive label, the ZBT Transformer will always get a double take from strangers. A real find/deal for the money and the missing link in the China/Swish, trash effects chain.

The trashformer by Zildjian is explosively trashy. The trashformer is a great cymbal at a very low cost, especially for a bran, spankin' new cymbal.
