I got the 20" a couple months ago. It is really awesome and works well with the big band jazz group I play with. It has a clear, full-bodied bell sound and if you hit the edge with the side of your stick you get a really interesting natural crash sound. The overtones go just far enough to give the ride its own personality and the stick definition is excellent. I would recommend this ride for all types of music. Zildjian once again has left the competition in the dust.

I listened to dozens of cymbal sound files before selecting this ride. I think it is among the best sounding K rides out there. It almost sounds played in. The best way to describe the tone and response of this cymbal is cool! It has a dark yet classy stick-on-cymbal ride sound. It doesn't come across with lots of brassy ping, but just cool clear beautiful ride click, if you know what I mean. The undertones build to a certain level and then stay there; they never overpower the ride like can happen on a standard medium ride. The bell is good and clear. A crash on the edge yields a very cool, dark breathy crash that really does sound great, unlike many rides. This is a really great ride! If you play jazz or fusion you will certainly not be disappointed.

My drummer got Zildjian K Custom Dark cymbals to replace his worn-out, cracked A Customs. The A's sound great and are very versatile, but these K's sound gorgeous. Dark, warm, traditional sound. Not everyone will like them, of course, but I sure do and so does my drummer. He uses a 20" ride, 14" hats, and 17" and 18" crashes. These cymbals speak beautifully to one another.

this is overall a pretty good cymbal, the decay is great but the overtones are a bit odd sounding.
