I've owned this cymbal for a couple of years now, and it's still the favorite of all my rides. I like that I can really get on it for rock gigs and it doesn't wash out and overpower the music. I can play soft as well, using brushes for jazz and produces a very pleasent sound. The bell sounds incredibly, very bright and expressive. I prefer the 20" over the 22" because I feel that I can control the sound a little better and fits a more vast array of musical styles.

I got the 20" A Custom ping ride and it is the best ride I've ever heard. I play rock, pop, jazz and country, and it works great for all of them. When you play it, it stands out in the mix and the bell on it is loud, crisp and clear. Go ahead and buy it- you won't be disappointed!

I got this cymbal a month ago and its the best sounding ride I've ever had. Although its kind of a cymbal for jazz and blues, you can also use it with rock and indies. Its a very versatile cymbal. The bell is very powerful without being overpowering, and the rest is just the perfect of highs and lows. Good bang for the buck

"A Custom 22" Ping Ride"

I went into Guitar Center originally looking for a Z Custom ride, and I'm glad the salesman turned me onto this beauty. One look and I new I wanted it. And THEN I played it. It has unsurpassed stick definition thats very clear and pure, with good attack and perfect decay, with a deep voicing that you'd expect from a larger cymbal. The bell doesn't have your usual muddy, loud attack, but it's more crisp, and much more musical. Not the best if you want an overpowering bell sound. If you want that, get a Megabell. Crash riding this beast would be kinda crazy. You'd have to really whack it to get good enough attack and you wouldn't get much out of it. But hey it's all preference. This ride is worth every penny. You can hear all 26,400 of them every time you hit it and get that beautifully pure ping.
