Yamaha YTS-62II Professional Bb Tenor SaxophoneMARK II
The YAS-62II professional model alto saxophone and the YTS-62II professional tenor saxophone replace the YAS-62 and YTS-62, respectively. Both models come with the popular G1 neck, which is very open and free blowing. Annealing used in the manufacturing process gives the horns quick response, and updated pads with a silicon treatment make them more durable. The saxophones also include a lightweight case with a carrying strap.
For many players, the 62 is the instrument that put Yamaha saxophones on the map," says Kurt Witt, Wind Instrument product manager. "Fans of the classic 62 Series won't be disappointed with the new horn. Even players that haven't tried Yamaha in a while will likely be blown away by the responsiveness of the new 62II."

Since the invention of the Selmer Paris most famous MAKRK VI the only Sax to be name the greatest is THE YAMAHA 62 But when the mark II came along Whooo hoo! Such a centered sound, cutting and percise. It's Great. Even better if you use a Bechler Tuffite custom made. This is not a 5 stars... ...This is a 11 stars sax.
This is my favorite horn ever. I am so glad I got it. It plays very functionally. I got it in Silver. It really gets people looking!
I have had a 20 year old tenor saxophone before I got this one, and of course this tenor is awesome. This sax has great response, tone quality, and it is easy to play high and low notes loud. I recommend this sax for any intermediate tenor saxophone player.
The YTS62 is a truly great sax. The tone quality is incredible and the lower and higher notes are easy to hit on this sax. If you get if you will get truly impressed.
I really am impressed with the YTS-62II. The finish quality and playability of the horn is exceptional. When you factor in what you pay for it, the deal only gets better. I have always played Selmer Paris horns (Mark VI, VII, and Series III). This Japanese sax is at least equivalent to the Selmer Series III line that costs twice as much.
