It is a beautiful instrument not to mention the sound that comes out of it is worth the money. It has a lot power for off field use. It is one of the best for marching. It does take work, but it looks good. Last but not least, it has a wonderful tone. It is a little bulky on some occasions.
I have played a few tubas, and many baritones. This is the nicest instrument I have played thus far. It is a beautiful instrument but the silver finish is ruined easily. It has adequate power. However, it is hard to get in tune. The sound quality is pretty good and it's not too bulky. I give it my approval.
These tubas are awesome, and make sousaphone players jealous! They are indescribably beautiful when shined up. Sousaphone players think that contrabasses are the coolest thing in the world! Your low brass friends in other bands will be jealous. The tone quality is superior, especially on higher notes. The low C is weak, and the higher C and D are usually out of tune, but most other notes are easy to play with. The tuning of this instrument is ok, but if you don't know anything about tuning you'll sound terrible right off the bat, because it comes sharp. The valves are usually good. You need to frequently dispense spit or your sound will die or it might come down the lead pipe into your mouth. The tone quality is superior, as well as the quality of most parts. These tubas make cool visuals and build up youre muscles! Also, they project well, have infinite power (louder than a sousaphone!), and play easily. Anyone who knows what they're doing will love this tuba!
This product is a high definition of what a tubist principal should own for the marching season.(Which for me is all year long) I've had nothing but the best from my tuba and think many others are satisfied with theirs as well.
