Yamaha SB59 Silent Brass System for Trombone

Both my parents work the night shift so they are asleep during the day so I could not practice my trombone, with this I can now practice while they are asleep.

I wish I had this 15 years ago. The electronic sound is fine, and the "echo" setting sounds nicely crisp. I have young children at home, and can now practice in the room directly below theirs while they sleep. The audible sound is a soft muted tone. I find the small in-ear plugs liveable but a bit uncomfortable, and will buy a different lightweight outer-ear set of headphones. Thanks!

Product works excellent, the 9volt you need comes with it, I had a little resistance playing a g below staff and lower, your neighbors won't hear you.

This product works great if all you want to do is practice but you can't bother anyone in your house. Very reliable Product. I would recommend it to any trombone player.

I have recently purchased this product and though not "Wowed", I am very pleased with its performance. I mute is so very quiet but should still be used in a closed room because of the slight "hum" that all mutes have. The sound quality from the ST9 through the headset is better then I expected! It is nice and crisp, especially with the reverb "echo". Although the mute is rather heavy and adds considerable weight to the horn, it is manageable with short breaks. There is a little resistance in the lower registers but overall, the pitch and sound is fantastic! I am thrilled with this product and I rate this as a MUST for any aspiring player whose parents/family "dislike your rather overzealous practicing!" Bravo Yamaha!
