It is a great starting guitar but not very user friendly. 15 minutes of playing and this guitar will tear your fingers up.

This is a great guitar for a young beginner. It's great, but the gig bag is not so great. I recommend buying a guitar case here, like I did. The gig bag takes a long time to zip up and does not offer good protection.

"Good beginner guitar" by slushy

My 10 year old daughter bought this guitar and loves it. The 3/4 size is comfortable, the wood construction feels solid, and the strings are not too high above the frets making easy playing. The steel strings, however, are hard for beginner's fingers with no calluses. If you're used to hearing a full deep mellow sound on a full-size guitar, you'll probably think this guitar sounds a bit tinny at first. Just make sure the 3/4 guitar is accurately tuned and accept that there's limitations to the amount of resonance from a 3/4 size. My daughter will need a full-size in a couple or more years. But for now, this is a good guitar to learn basic chords, strumming, picking, etc. As for the gig bag, it has slight padding and is fine for moderate use.

"More info" by Daniel Tran

This is a follow-up to my first review as I thought you might need more info. Okay, first of all, I'll be honest. I am very impressed with this guitar. Although, it is not for everybody. If you're buying it for a 10 or 11 year old, you've made the right choice. 12 year olds should look in to a full size. This works great as a first guitar, but you should plan on getting a different one as your child gets better. This is very durable, has been dropped very hard a few times and not a scratch. It's also very light, making playing more easy and fun for kids. The gig bag. You should throw it away and get a Mic Eze 3/4 Case. It's so much better and more protective. I hope this has been helpful to you.
