Recommended Accessories

Essentially unchanged for thousands of years, the Wuhan production process starts with an ancient and carefully guarded metal formula. Then skilled craftsmen shape and tune every cymbal by hand. That standard of quality and musicality is now available in a complete line of "Western-style" splashes, crashes, hi-hats, and ride cymbals.

Wuhan Splash Cymbal
Wuhan "Western-Style" splashes, crashes, hi-hats, and rides are created by Wuhans cymbal craftsman and have a distinct, unmistakable character. Generally thinner than other cymbals, they produce a breathy wash of overtones and a comfortable cushion of sound that is complex and very musical.

"My very favorite splashes"

My traditional Wuhan 10 and 12" splashes are a key feature in my soft volume cymbal line-up. I consider them bordering on "paper thin" in thickness and their sound washes up and out like any other nice paper thin I have played before. I just really hope that this traditional line of Wuhans are never ever discontinued. I have the "S" series as well but I think the traditional series are the more serious cymbals. My line of trads. 10, 12, 16, 18 crashes and 13" hihats are ones I treasure evening a collection of lots of other nice cymbals. I couldn't recommend them more highly.

I've been playing a Wuhan 18" China (ala Neil Peart) for years and have always loved it, so I gave these a try. I bought the 8-inch model, and it's great. Faster decay and trashier than some splashes that I've played, but still sounds really well. Far and away better than the newer Sabian B8 Pro splashes, and it costs less! If you're on a budget, get these. If you're not on a budget, maybe get some higher-end cymbals, but at these prices you could buy 3 or 4 for the price of 1!

My 12 inch Wuhan splash is the perfect complement to my larger darker/heavier "S" series crashes and traditional Chinas. It's pitch and projection really helps me to punctuate when I need to. It cuts through the sound with such clarity that I would be lost without it. I guess I really rely on it. I'm getting the 10 inch next. At this price, why not? All the Zildjians and Sabian in the world couldn't pry me away from my Wuhans. My bandmates like them also because they add a unique quality to our overall sound.

"cheap cymbal"

I found this cymbal to be pretty bad but what can you say for 20 bucks. It has an awful tone sounds like a mini china not a watered down crash and it has dented 2 times and chipped once in a matter of a week.

There is definitely no beating the prices that go along with this splash cymbal, or the fact that it sounds great for the price. I have owned it for several months, and I really beat on it. I have dropped it before, on accident, and nothing happened to it. I could probably drop the thing off my roof and it would still sound amazing. great deal...
