I bought this cymbal looking for a cheap china, and the rivetted 18 inch was in stock and the regular 18 inch wasn't. THIS IS AN INCREDIBLE BUY FOR THE PRICE. It has that deep, trashy sound and the rivets give it a more trashy sound and it has a cool sizzling sound too because of the way the rivets hang. I didn't like the sizzle as much, so i put ducttape on the top of them and it now sounds like a regular wuhan china; IT IS INCREDIBLE this way too. This china is thick enough, and the way I play I don't expect it to crack for several more months. Trust me, I play VERRRRY hard. I've never been more satisfied with one of my drum purchases; and nothing can beat it with this price.

So maybe one of the biggest debates in drumming as far as cymbals are concerned is 'are wuhans worth it?"...in my opinion...YES. I was looking for a china that would give me more of an effects type sound rather than a hardcore china sound. Remember...every wuhan china has a different sound due to their centuries-old style of making. I was lucky enough to find one locally so I could hear it before I bought it. I havent played one without the rivets but I found exactly the sound I was looking for with the rivets china. I'm a very hard hitter and probably will eventually break it but for the price, I won't complain if I do. The good thing is I don't have to hit it hard at all to get the sizzle sound because the rivets are free-hanging so you can actually blow on this cymbal and the sizzle. and you still get the cool old-style china sound as well. It's like having 2 cymbals in one. What a cool idea they had in the rivets! I highly recommend this cymbal.
