Wuhan China Cymbal
Universal Wuhan Lion China Cymbals

Made in China for more than two millennia
Most drummers know that fine professional cymbals have been manufactured in Europe for generations and in Turkey for centuries. But only a few drummers are aware that fine professional cymbals have been made in China for more than two millennia. In fact, some historians credit the Chinese with inventing cymbals for use as musical instruments.

Essentially unchanged for thousands of years

Essentially unchanged for thousands of years, the Wuhan production process starts with an ancient and carefully guarded metal formula. Then skilled craftsmen shape and tune every cymbal by hand. As a result, the Wuhan brand has become legendary for unique special-effects cymbals and gongs. Drummers from all musical genres especially prize the famous Wuhan "Lion" China-type cymbal. In terms of pure authenticity and unique sound, it is the standard by which all other "China" cymbals are measured.

Unique and Authentic
In keeping with the nature of fine handcrafted instruments, no two Wuhan cymbals of any given model sound exactly the same. Along with the immediately identifiable Wuhan character, each cymbal has it own subtle nuances. This diversity within each model provides plenty of selection, while keeping the overall line simple and easy to understand for drummers and dealers alike.

More than you pay for
Best of all, this unique line of cymbals is available at prices that are much lower than those of any professional cymbal brand on the market. This means lower cost for you. But don't let those low prices fool you. When it comes to Universal Wuhan Lion China cymbals, you don't get what you pay for...you get much more!

I recently got back from Wuhan and I know that oriental sound. This is the only China that has that authentic oriental sound. (I know I have heard lots of Chinas) If this is what you want, then you need to get a Wuhan. I have an 18" and I love it. I wouldn't trade it for any other China out there. If you want a china get a Wuhan. They're the best.

This cymbal is almost scary... fantastic quality for a suspiciously low price. Very exotic sounding and has a nice choke sound. I highly recommend it for casual drummers.

I've played Sabian and Zildjian Chinas before (Sabian AA and Zildjian ZXT), but those are way overrated, if you ask me. The sound is so 'fake' compared to the deep, dark sound of the Wuhan Chinese. I just bought an 18" china and it's trashy enough to cut through the loudest mixes, even if you're not a power player. Ask any experienced musician and they'll tell you that Wuhan is where it's at. Get one today! You won't be disappointed...

"You need a 12" China"

I listened to a band whose drummer used only 14" hats, an 18" crash and a 12" Wuhan China. The china was so versatile and sounded great...so I bought one. This cymbal is great in the studio because of the quick response/decay plus a "broken glass" kinda sound. You just can't duplicate the sound with any other China cymbal. In my kit of 12 cymbals (other 11 are Sabian), this may be my favorite...and definitely the cheapest.
