Product Detail

Washburn EA16 Acoustic-Electric Guitar
The Trademark Washburn Guitar Thrives in the 21st Century
Created with the performing musician in mind, these stunning stage models offer more than good looks. The 18:1 ratio Grover tuners will keep you in tune throughout your wildest performance. The EA16 now comes standard with the BBand(TM) A3 preamp. Developed in Scandinavia, this preamp will rival all others on the market. The clarity and consistency with which it reproduces the full tonal range will absolutely blow you away.

The Muscle of an Electric, But the Sound of an Acoustic
Combine the Festival Series design with the B-band preamp and you have an awesome experience. The outstanding sound reproduction of the B-Band transducer is based on the technology of a novel, world-wide patented high tech electret film exclusive to B-Band and is manufactured in the spirit of true acoustic instrument aficionados. How is it different? The microscopic lens-like gas bubbles inside the permanently charged film reproduces the true acoustic tone of the instrument. Whereas piezo pickups tend to impart a sound of their own, often described as "plastic", the B-Band transducers acts much the same way as a condenser microphone. The result is true acoustic tone! Whether on stage or in the studio, this is a professional quality instrument at half the price of its rivals.

A Proud Tradition
Over one hundred years, Washburn has built more than just great guitars, they've built a history, The Washburn tradition of craftsmanship and innovation has withstood the tests of economics, brand competition and fashion. Since being founded in Chicago in 1883, the name Washburn has been branded into the world's finest stringed instruments. If your interest in guitars borders on passion, you will settle for nothing less than a Washburn.

Award Winning Washburn Acoustics
Washburn acoustic guitars are recognized annually by the experts as the best value on today's market. ACOUSTIC GUITAR magazine awarded Washburn as "The Best Acoustic Guitars Under $500." GUITAR PLAYER recently awarded Washburn with "The Best Value for Acoustic Guitars Under $250."

At first I would not even try a Washburn guitar. Now that I played and bought one of these guitars, my mind has changed.

"Surely the best value out there" by Matt

I had never heard of this guitar. I went looking for an electro-acoustic and saw it in the shop. Utterly gorgeous to look at, got it down and played it. I'm primarily an electric guitar player, so the silky smooth narrow fretboard suited me just great. It sounds fantastic, the chorus is gorgeous. Faults? I found the pickup under the bridge sometimes gets dislodged when you change the strings and buzzes, but this is easily fixed with a dab of solder. If you are looking for the best value Electro-acoustic with drop dead gorgeous looks. This is it!

I bought this guitar a while ago and it is still as perfect as it was on day one. It is one of the best electro acoustics I have ever played. The blue color is amazing. I love this guitar.
