Vox Valvetronix AD50VT 50w 1x12 Guitar Combo Amp
AD50VT

VOX Valve Reactor for true tube power amp sound and feel.
The AD15VT, AD30VT and AD50VT feature the patented VOX Valve Reactor found on all Valvetronix products. The Valve Reactor circuit uses a 12AX7 triode vacuum tube together with an actual low-wattage tube power amp circuit, a virtual output transformer and a dummy speaker circuit that simulates the impedance changes of a real speaker. It also reconfigures itself so that its characteristics are the same as the amps it's modeling (class A, class AB, negative feedback circuit, etc.) This means that all of the nuances of the original amp model including sound, feel, distortion and presence are reproduced accurately.

Eleven realistic amp models using sophisticated modeling technology.
A total of eleven coveted amp types are provided. Starting with the classic AC30 and ranging from vintage to modern, hi-gain to clean, a variety of amp models are built-in, giving you an incredible range of sound-creating potential. Selecting the amp model and adjusting the tone controls is as intuitive as it gets - just turn the knobs!

"It's Not A True Vox" by Robert Wilson

If you are looking for a very nice sweet soft or good sounding amp....this amp is not for you then. I have a Rickenbacker 360, Rickenbacker 620 and a 1954 re-issue Fender Strat and they all SOUND LIKE _ _ _ _ with this amp. The sound is not there it's gone. If you are just learning to play then yes get this amp but like me this amp is not good for garage playing. This amp cracks, hiss, hums, and when using the noise reduction to lower this hissing the sound drops off and the sound is flat. I called cause this is under warranty and I am sending this amp back and Vox needs to make this amp in England or America it's better to pay for what you get then pay for something that is not a Vox.

"almost the best ive played." by Guitarist number 12463

I am seriously considering buying this amp. Ive played it alot, and have hardly any misgivings at all with it. The only thing that comes to mind is the fact that it only has two channels to save your sounds. With all of the options on this amp one would think that Vox would have the presence of mind to add channels for the small venue gigger in mind. I have looked and looked for a footcontroller to go along with it, but the footswitch is all i am able to find. Huge bummer, because whether this is a tube amp or not, it sounds really really good. The best in the price range I am sure. One thing that I really liked was the effects sounded almost better than decent. They were a little difficult to learn to operate, in fact it was as if VOX was trying to make getting the sound you're looking for more difficult than it already is nowadays. Well, there is my 2 cents, take it or leave it.

"Best amp in it's class" by Mustang66

I went thought three amps before settling on this one. A Hughes and Kettner Blue Edition 60 watt and a Fender Deluxe 900. The Hughes and Kettner had a great clean sound for rhythm but really screamed on the lead channel. The Fender was good on lead but was really muddy for rhythm. This amp can be super clean on rhythm and lead and can be dirty on both if that's your style. I was looking for a good clean vintage tube sound and got it in this amp at a good price. The amp modeling and effects on this amp are really good.

"AWESOME" by Ethan Filth

This amp is loud, durable, and sounds like any other tube amp out there, without the drawbacks. The 11 amps are modeled really well, I especially like the Tweed, AC30, UK70's, and UK80's amps. The effects are also rather handy, moreso for recording I'd say. This amp is 50 watts of vox power. It is a a lot louder than I thought it would be. I can play over drums easily during practice, it is usually the other way around for me. Also this amp is rather economical, it's not super expensive and it is a great value. I recommend this amp for anyone who wants a well built amp and who wants to be heard.
