Okay, so basically there isn't much to say about these headphones. They are untouchable. I can play as loud as I want, hear the music I am listening to, and don't even have to turn the volume up to max. Most importantly, I haven't lost my hearing from drumming, which is probably the most important part of being a musician. These were a definite success.

I used to play drums along with some music using conventional headphone. I turned the volume higher and higher in order to hear it clearly while playing on the drums.. Bad idea.. it was really too loud. Now I've switched to this headphone and it's been working so well!! I highly recommend this for drummers!!

The Vic Firth SIH1 Stereo Isolation Headphones from Music123 was the best decision. After comparing prices at other companies, I found the lowest price at Music123. The headphones are very comfortable to wear for long sessions. They do not muffle the sound of my drum set but do reduce it to a comfortable level. I plug the headphones into my CD player when I want to play along with music, and I will have to turn the volume to max because the headphones will not play music at eardrum shredding decibels. Although I'd prefer to play with the music a little louder, the limit on the headphones is good for my hearing in the long run, especially when playing for hours at a time. An all around excellent product.

If you are playing with music (in headphones) while you¦re practicing on drums and have got bored on losing the beat because you can't hear the music well, this is perfect. It tones down the drums so you are able to hear the music well. This is also good for studios because it doesn't send the sounds out from the headphones while they¦re on your head.

i just got these today...and they worked great. i didnt have to crank up the volume on my cd player and i imagine it will be the same with a metronome or guitarists amp. They are really comfy on the head and they let only the good sounds through to your ear

I love these headphones, they make me want to practice much more on the drums, and I use them in my home studio. They don't let anything flow out from them, so it only goes into your ears, not into mics. If you are having troubles with practicing with playback with some headphones, I recommend these!

I recently purchased these headphones and am very pleased with them. I can hear the music very clearly and just enough of my drums/cymbals to hear exactly what I am doing. They really cut down on the impact to the inner ear and I don't have to worry so much about the long term damage. I highly recommend these headphones.

this can not only be for a drummer, but for EVERY musician. The speaker is ok. not the best but agreeable. to me, this makes my drums sound more warm and round, which I like. I also let my bro use it for his bass practice. If you're short of money, get this!

These are fantastic headphones. I have ear drum damage from childhood and need to protect what I have left of my hearing. I play in a closed room and it's not sound damped at all, except for standard carpet. It's quite loud. I can now practice/play my kit without using mutes and know that my hearing is protected. I turn the volume up to levels similar to when using ear buds while not drumming. I hear my music fine and can clearly hear what I am playing. They fit snugly, but I have worn them for over an hour while playing and don't find them uncomfortable at all. I wish the phone jack was a screw-on instead of snap, but that's minor. I looked at other phones in this price range, but noise reduction wasn't close. To step up would have been cost prohibitive. This was a great purchase.

I had read a lot about these headphones before I shelled out fifty bucks for them and I must say that they are everything they are said to be and then some. They are VERY COMFORTABLE, have great sound, and do an excellent job of sound reduction. And since they come with an adaptor, you can use them with a standard "banana plug jack" or you can plug them into any little CD player that you might happen to have handy. If you practice much with recorded music, these are a MUST.
