The Dave Weckl/Vic Firth are not only a great feel, and sound, they last long too. I used these sticks in school band, churches, Live sports games, and they've been great. I still own my original pair which are chopped up but still in use. They only thing is, if you want a shorter stick, you should try the Dave Wekl/Vic Firth EVOLUTION sticks which are a little shorter, but I think this pair is a good choice for all levels. I currently use this pair and the evolution pair.
They're one of my favorite sticks I've ever used! I use them for concert band, rock-drumming, and all around jazz. They take a beating but still work great!
I have had these sticks for a long time and they still haven't broken. They are by far the best I have ever played with.
These are great all around sticks in length and diameter. However, I wish they came without the lacquer finish as they get very slick when your hands sweat. I have to sand the finish off mine.
