I just love these sticks, they give excellent snare response. They're not too heavy and not too light. They are perfect. I use this for mainly rock but I think they are a good all around stick.I love these. Buy a pair today. If you try it u will like em instantly. I promise.

Years ago, when you bought sticks, you had to roll them on the counter for straightness and "balance" them in both hands to match them by weight. Vic Firth has eliminated all that. When I visited the VF web site and saw how they make sticks and compared theirs to other brands, I vowed to buy only VF sticks because of the quality. Each pair is like a quality made piece of furniture; they feel really great in your hands. These maple sticks are bit larger, but without a lot of weight.

I had one pair, and I love them, but i think they break too fast.

About 5-6 years ago a buddy of mine told me to try this stick and I have not bought a different pair since. I will only play with an sd9 driver. it is THE BEST STICK I use them for rock and metal and also jazz and swing. They are very good on snare response and tone and don't weigh all that much. I differently recommend these to anyone. Buy more than one pair today. p.s. they also last a little bit longer than other leading brands.
