My son talked me into trying the Chad Smith Vater Signature Sticks, it was a great change. I had used a different stick made by a different company for years. I found your stick's to be more comfortable, last longer, and just seemed to get more attack out of my snare.My son hit's alot harder than I do and these stick's took the abuse. They seem to last twice as long as the other stick's that we used in the past.Great job Vater!!Joe LambertLouisville,KY

I like these sticks. They are strong and have power like a fatback 3A, but are more focused and responsive. The acorn tip has a nice back cut and sounds great on drumheads or cymbals. Like all wood tips though these will eventually chip. Some players claim that fingernail polish or acrylic spray sealer will help this problem. The obvious solution may seem to be nylon tips, but the fact is that many players do not like nylon tips.
