I bought my Taylor 314ce about 3 years ago after playing every guitar I could find in it's price range. The sound of this guitar stands out far beyond the competition. Taylor knows how to make a great guitar and they do it time and time again. I've taken my 314ce from New York To Berlin And Bristol England and it has never let me down. The action and sustain are also great. I've had this guitar as a proffesional musician for 3 years now an I may never replace it.

I'VE OWNED SEVERAL ACOUSTIC BRANDS AND PLAYED MANY MORE IN MY 33 YEARS. I MUST SAY THE TONE OF MY 314CE IS THE MOST WELL ROUNDED AND PURE OF ALL. THE ELECTRONICS PORTRAY THIS EXTREMELY ACCURATE. THIS ONE HAS THE LOW "BOOM" OF A MARTIN BUT EXCELS IN ITS CRYSTAL CLEAR MIDS AND HIGHS. IT MASTERS PERFECTION VIA ALL 5 SENSES (TOUCH, SIGHT, SMELL, SOUND, PERSONAL TASTE) AND YES EVEN ONES 6TH SENSE OF KNOWING A GREAT EVENT FORTH COMING IN YOUR LIFE WITH OWNERSHIP.

So as muso's is easy to get GAS (gear acquiring syndrome) and with me its been no different. I bougt this guitar 2 weeks ago and its better than i ever expected. My worry in buying a taylor was lack of bottom end but on this one its good enough. Not great but its better than some taylors i tried. I tried everything around from Martin's, Guild, takoma, takemine to Larrivee's. This guitar just feels effortless when i play. Great in studio which is why i bought and the best is how ballanced each string is soundwise. This is always a challenge in studio but this guit is great

True story: My wife and I had an acoustic act. We were at a gig and the opening act's guitar player had a 314 ce. My wife, who is the cheapest person I know, listened for a minute and announced "You're buying one of those." Yes, Ma'am. The tone is unusually full for a smaller bodied guitar. The Fishman electronics are crystal clear and cut through terrible house mixes (is there any other kind?). I have done countless gigs on this axe and it is still my go to acoustic.
