"Nice controller"

Nice graded weighted feel on the keyboard. Quite firm action on the keys. Solid metal construction. The backplate where you plug in the wall wart power cord and usb/MIDI connectors is a little cheapish. Comes with a cheapo foot pedal, but you can buy a good one and it is fully compatible. I use it as a master controller for a home recording setup. It seems like that's what it was designed for and is excellent for this purpose, especially for a pianist who will appreciate the nice action. Not a good choice for mobile rig--you can't split it into zones and there are a lot of sliders, knobs, and connectors that don't seem especially roadworthy. I'm very happy with it and am glad that an excellent graded hammer-weighted keyboard is available at this price point.

"Nicely imperfect"

I initially returned my first purchase of this keyboard. It was due to inconsistent velocity gradient from key to key in the bass end. It's no fun playing a run with generally consistent pressure applied to the keys and having certain notes blaring sfortzato. It really destroy the playability. So months later I sent it back and got a replacement. This however came back with roughly the same problem, different notes now. Also, on top of this, the case was cracked when shipped and the springs under a couple keys that support the hammerfall, squeak when you play them. These two however where minor in comparison to the aforementioned. All in all, the keyboard looks and feels like it plays nicely as long as you don't acctually plug it in. Honestly, this unit had so much potential to be a fantastic mid-high end MIDI trigger. Unfortunately, these manufacturing defects have forced me to go back to my old Yamaha stage piano.
