The prettiest of the piccs - just beautiful with gold accents; and a first class player. Quality matches my 2 Schilkes and exceeds my 2 Bach Strads. I'll look at the Stomvi Bb's when I need another horn (wife says I don't).
I'm a music performance major and this horn was my first choice because of its beautiful intonation and superior sound quality. I'd definitely recommend this horn to anyone!
I based the purchase of my Stomvi Elite on the previous seven reviews I found right here on this site. I just played my new horn at a wedding today, five days afer I received it. In fact, I brought my laptop and a USB microphone with me to record my playing. Wow!. Excellent intonation. Good comfortable playing with both the Bb and A pipes. Crisp, clean sound with the 7E mouthpiece that it came with. I play a 2C Bach, but the Stomvi uses a cornet shank mouthpiece, so I had to use the 7E. No problem!! The horn looks great as well. I am very satisfied with my purchase.
This horn has great intonation, superior craftsmanship slots extremely well, unlike some other Piccolo trumpets I have played, this one actually plays in tune. Other professionals I know have tried my Stomvi Pic and tell me that they agree with me, it is one fantastic piccolo trumpet. I have shown it to a nationally know trumpet craftsman who has told me that it is of 1st quality. I'd give this Stomvi Piccolo trumpet 6 stars if I could, because of its ease of playing in all the demanding Baroque pieces.
I have been playing my Stomvi pic for about 1 1/2 years. I spent 3 years looking for the instrument, and played virtually everything on the market, including rotary piccolos. I didn't find anything I liked as well as the Stomvi. It has a warm, well-centered piccolo sound, and the intonation is excellent. It doesn't come with a separate "A" slide, but instead has an extra-long lead pipe to convert to A. I play A piccolo a lot more than I do Bb, and have had absolutely no problem with it. I am a college trumpet teacher and active performer, and would recommend this instrument to any student or to any serious player.
