I have had my Left Handed Squier Stratocaster for several months now and it appears to be a very good guitar. It's difficult to determine the difference between this product and standard non-Squier Strats. Finish quality on mine is superb, few flaws if any, although I've seen serious finish/assembly flaws on other units, so be careful. Plays nice, feels substantial (not cheap), doesn't buzz, sounds good.
So far this is a very good, basic guitar. Nice finish. Stays in tune pretty well after mild use of vibrato system...Frets don't buzz. The tonation is just about the same as any other "bolt on" style neck guitar. (i.e. Strings will tend to go out of tune with themselves as you fret higher up on the neck) As far as this guitar "Squealing"? That's a strange thing to say about a guitar... The "Guitar" doesn't "squeal". Your Amp, Volume and distortion levels are responsible for that. Not the guitar. If anything, the stock pick-ups are a bit on the low output side. In order to achieve a "Squeal", you simply have to CRANK UP THE VOLUME, or sit to close to your amp, or use REALLY HEAVY DISTORTION. Of course, all 3 will cause ANY guitar\Amp set up to squeal. The only way this is avoided is to use noise canceling pick-ups or pedals. For the price, this is a great guitar for ANY style of music.
This guitar kicks!
I have had this guitar for the past two years. In the beginning, it seems nice. But as the time went on, I found out that the clean sound is not as good as other guitars at the same price or close to it. If you like the punk rock style, its good with distortion, but I would not recommend it for clean sound. Ibanez is better. Besides that, this is a great guitar for beginners.
This guitar is really great for playing clean music. It squeals sometimes while using distortion but overall pretty good guitar
