This is one insane bass. Mine just arrived in the mail from this site today. Being Fender made, I expected this bass to be nothing short of awesome and I got exactly what I expected. Great pickups, incredible tone and, after I tuned it, adjusted a few things, and plugged it into my new Ibanez SW65 amp, it played beautifully. Well done, Fender. Also, I ordered it last Thursday and by today (Wednesday) it was here. Six days. Good job Music123

I was surprised that the axe arrived nearly in tune, considering it was about 25 degrees F out and the bass was quite cold when it arrived. I let it warm up in the box over a day, then got down to checking it out. Very well built, fit is nearly flawless and there was only one minor finish flaw, resin on the back of the neck only on the inlaid redwood strip, which I buffed out rather quickly. A little sawdust under the pickguard, but I always completely disassemble and rebuild any equipment I buy so no biggie. The intonation is flawless and although the string height is rather high. The axe is very playable and has a nice ring to it with the stock strings. The nice tone and intonation has me practicing flamenco-style, among other things. Something I never would have tried on an old P-Bass. This is a great instrument and I strongly recommend it to anyone who needs a solid playable bass. It is worth absolutely more than what I paid for it and I think this would be an AWESOME choice for a beginning bassist, and also a wise choice for a professional who needs a road axe he is not afraid to beat up. The overall feel and tone of it immediately made me think, " Jaco, Jaco", and smile.Kudos to Fender for coming up with an immensely playable and low cost alternative bass!
