You definitely get what you pay for with headphones and after owning these for a few days, I can see why they are rated so highly in the professional field. They sound great and they are affordable. Very light weight and even offer good sound isolation when in use. Comfortable and they fit 100% over my ears even though the ear pieces are on the small side. Includes both 1/8 and 1/4 adapters and a long cord. You wont be disappointed with these.

These headphones are just as good or better than all of the others at its pricebreak, along with lifelike bass and clear highs and mids, these headphones also pick up subtle nuances that lower quality drivers often seem to smother.

I've had mine for over 12 years and the ear cushions are finally starting to come apart. I think they were $80 back then. For $7 a year, these have been an excellent investment. They sound very good, they're robust, and travel well. I want a new pair :)

I usually prefer to listen to music on speakers, but I bought these to monitor field recording and GarageBand creations. The price was reasonable and believe me, the sound is amazing! Clear, balanced, un-colored on everything I've heard through them so far. Definitely the best sounding cans I've ever laid my ears on! A great investment for any type of personal listening.

"Comfortable headphones with an exciting sound"

These are great headphones for recording. The close-ear design works well for keeping headphone bleed into microphones. I have two pairs of these but after a few years, I have found that the padded covering has deteriorated and needs to be replaced. These Sony's sound great and others who record with me have told me that they enjoy using them. They are comfortable and pleasant hyped sound.

It's amazing how well these headphones bring the music to life. I read the reviews before buying and thought the mentions about being able to hear new details in the music were cute, but that's really what happens. And the separation and clarity of all the instruments is incredibly helpful for transcribing. Well worth the money invested.

The Sony MDR7506 Pro Headphones are fantastic. I love 'em. I create computer based dance music & hip hop. Up to now I've always been satisfied with my domestic headphones until the day I bought a pair of MDR7506's. The definition is truly amazing especially at low frequencies (paramount for dance, hip hop & reggae). I highly recommend the MDR7506's for home recording. They're a great alternative to nearfield monitoring, very comfortable to wear and worth the asking price.

I have had a single pair of these for four years now. Traveled across Africa with them, recorded countless times, thrown here and there, used daily and enjoyed every time. Still going strong too. Simply the very best you can get in headphones. Never have I had a pair that lasted this long or sounded this good. When mine finally die, I will buy another pair in a heartbeat.

I got these headphones a while ago, and have given them quite a run down. I play in a heavy metal band, in which I use these to mix our recordings. I make trances and other techno-like music, and let me tell you, they don't lie when they say it'll drop down to 10Hz. Even though you can't hear those notes, you can still tell they are there, and these headphones let you know that they are in fact there! Other headphones at and above this price don't sound this good (and I use those others daily at the studio). The ones that sound better are made by Sony. I will never own another headphone. I even use them with my iPod...they let that thing sing. Sometimes I'll sit there with them off, and the volume at full, and it sounds like a mini stereo.
