First of all, this is a very affordable electronic kit. I bought 2 of them, one for me and the SD5K for my buddies kid. They arrived in a timely manner and were easy to set up. I play hard and loud and have heavy feet and love the fact that this kit came equipped with a double bass kick stand and pad. However, 2 weeks later, the kick pad for the bass drum stand worn through to the back of the metal backing and whether you have on headphones or are playing through an amp or plugged directly into an electronic 8 track and are recording YOU CANNOT HEAR THE BASS DRUM no matter how loud you have it turned up. There is a faint background sound that is deep but nothing that even slightly resembles a bass drum. I use a DW 7000 pedal with Iron Cobra Mallets. The other issue is that some of the tighteners on the drum pads will not stay tight for very long and I constantly have to re-tighten them every time I play. Other than those two issues, it is nice to play anytime I want and time of day or night.
