NEW - "inexpensive solid wood uke"

I've owned a dozen or more ukes and find the Silver Creek Baritone to be a great little instrument for the price. The solid mahogany body gives the baritone a nice low end that you won't find in the laminate bodied models that often cost more. Quality is good on mine--stays in tune with good intonation and nice fret action. Bought mine on sale and I think it was a great value.

I purchased this as a blem . Only the three top strings were present on the instrument on arrival . Tuning them with an electronic tuner an octave down from a guitar was possible but fretted notes were way off . Trying to raise the pitch broke the bridge in half. Perhaps one drop of glue was used to fasten the bridge at the base end. The nut was not fastened to the neck at all. One must question the QC of a musical instrument which cannot achieve concert pitch with three out of four NYLON strings. I returned it the next day. My Hilo baritone uke is really rather nice.
