Overall a very nice mouthpiece. I don't play my Selmer S80 C* very often as I have gone for a brighter, louder tone, but those looking for a very nice fluid, controllable, pure tone would definitely love this mouthpiece. VERY good for classical. However, those doing jazz or fusion should look elsewhere.

I've been using an S80 C* in concert band for over a year now and I love it(I use a metal Berg Larsen for Jazz), and while there are better mouthpieces out there, if you're looking for a great mouthpiece without paying a ridiculous amount of money, this is the one for you.

I am a 13 year old first chair alto sax player and love this mouthpiece. I have played on a couple of different mouthpieces most recently a Yamaha 4c and I find that nothing compares to this I am extremely pleased with it. (I use a Rovner ligature with it.)

Awesome mouthpiece. It knocked the socks off the Rousseaus. There aren't enough good things I can say about it. Its no wonder the pro's are loyal to this mouthpiece for classical.

I was using my son's jazz mouthpiece in a Christmas Cantata and had very little control over dynamics. It was difficult moving from upper to lower register. I ordered this mouthpiece pronto. The tone was more beautiful, I was able to play double piano w/o sounding airy or loosing my tone quality. My son used the new mouthpiece for his school solo and was finally able to get the altissimo notes he had been struggling with! I am very satisfied!
