This is a wonderful instrument for all levels! I found it particularly nice for me. I have been playing clarinet in my school band this year and I just switched over to bass clarinet. I found that this Selmer bass clarinet is extremely easy to learn on.

I recently purchased this Bass Clarinet, hoping that i would recieve an excellent quality clarinet. When i first blew my first note, it was incredible. I use it everyday and i never get tired of it. Better sounding than any other bass clarinet, this is the one i recommend to al intermediate learners. GOOD STUFF

This bass clarinet is the best bass clarinet you could buy for this price. The bass clarinet works like a dream. The keys move flawlessly, everything is set, and it comes with leather pads not fish skin. The pads have a small sticking problem but it's easily fixed by a dollar bill. A floor-peg and two-hook neck strap help greatly when holding the bass clarinet. The bass clarinet is able to hold its own against a Buffet. I've played the best and worst clarinets, and this one is high on my list. Besides, you can't deny Selmer quality.

I believe this Clarinet is very good value for money. It has all the redeeming features of an orchestral clarinet but with a slight different approach to the playing can create a very juicy jazz sound and can even imitate a sax. It lacks a few notes towards the lower end which other bass clarinets have, but in the end its a very confident instrument to play especially considering its value.

I play this bass clarinet at school and it's a great clarinet. It plays well all the time and i've rarely had problems. I always recommend selmer clarinets and i love them!
