I am extremely pleased with my Schalloch conga/bongo set. The bongo stand is built like a tank. The finish on the congas is beautiful. I have not seen a better finish on any of the congas I've seen, even those selling for a lot more. The quality evident in this set would be appropriate for a set that cost twice as much. The sound is nice and deep on the congas and the bongos sound good also. About the only suggestion I could make to improve the set would be to include the rubber conga "feet" that allow them to be played while sitting down.. The stands that come with the set are sturdy and look good, but old guys like me would appreciate something that held the congas steady while allowing seated playing. A real bargin that will make you wonder how they can sell them as inexpensively as they do.
