I've been drumming for 9 years and I'm almost 17 years old. I bought these cymbals when i started my band in 7th grade. Im a sophomore in high school and i have no intention to get rid of these cymbals because they are awesome. I use them on the road and in the studio with my band. they may seem like a cheaper brand of cymbals but they sound great. I never had any problems with these cymbals and i've had them for about 4 or 5 years. I'd recommend them.

These are amazing cymbals, for an amazing price. You wont find a better deal like this. These aren't cheap cymbals either. The ride has a nice clean sound to it, and the bell is loud. The crash's and splash are amazing, and the hi-hats sound great too. Ive had mine for almost 3 years, and they havent even cracked. I love em!

"Good set for beginners, but more experienced players will want more."

This is a fantastic name brand set to get as a beginning drummer, but it may not fill your needs as you become more experienced. I purchased a set similar to this a couple of years ago and was a great upgrade to the cheap cymbals most beginner sets come with. You get a great "pingy" sounding ride, a couple of crashes, splash and high hats. The only drawback is that the crashes have a darker sound and tend to ring after the initial crash. If you are more experienced or want brighter sounds and better response out of your cymbals upgrade to AAX or some of the signature Sabian's. Beginners on a budget can't go wrong with an instant setup like this.

"Good Beginner Set"

The Sabian B8's are good quality cymbals for beginners. Anyone who is looking at learning how to play drums and buying their first drum set should definitely look at these. However, they are only beginner cymbals. I cracked two of mine once I started playing harder and with more confidence, and I have since upgraded all of my cymbals to higher level Sabians like the AAX series. The B8 cymbals tend to have some ringing that goes along with their sound, which is quite rough. Although not good for performing, they work fine for home practicing, and if you wear ear protection (which you all should), they sound a lot better.
