Works better as a crash, but its a cool high pitched ride if you use it that way.

I bought this cymbal and I really like it. It has a nice crisp ring to it when you use it as a ride, especially with nylon tips on your sticks. It also has a deep, long decay, loud crash to it. It can be used for both and be used for both effectively. I've had it for almost 3 months now and no signs of cracking or anything along those lines and I play rather hard. This is well worth the money for any drummer. This cymbal has convinced to do my whole set with B8 cymbals.

"The best sheet crash by far."

I only used it as a crash. I updated to cast Zildjian. It was really nice! It has a nice, washy, dark, and colorful sound to it. For a sheet crash, you can't beat it. I find that the Zildjian ZBTs sound too cheap and cruddy, and the ZXT are just too bright sounding for my tastes. I like the Sabian B8s. I like the fact that they come in the traditional finish, unlike the glassy, overly-bright sounding B8 Pros and most other sheet cymbals that come in brilliant finish. I never used this as a ride, though. My B8 setup was 14" hats, 20" rock ride and this 18" crash/ride. Really good sounding for the price!

Ok, this cymbal, one word to describe, insane. For the price, this is probably the best crash ride I've heard, it even better than some more expensive ones. I've only been playing for 2 years, but my teacher is an insane all out drummer, he'll take me places just to test out what kind of stuff I like, and this is by far one of my favorite crash/rides. I definitely recommend it for any beginner/intermediate, and even advanced pros who don't wanna spend a ton of money.

I got this cymbal to replace a ride and it's worked pretty well. The bell is alright, but you have to pretty much use the shoulder of the stick to get a nice sound from it, but it's pretty swell once you get the right feel for it. IÆd use it more as a deep crash instead of a ride.
