18 inch model. definitely a brash, bright china cymbal, but it has great Chinese tones. I do enjoy this cymbal played lightly and love the swell and wash created using mallets. sounds great played in a percussion setup using hands. some may consider it harsh when bashed with a stick. Metal players would love the way it cuts . For my playing situations it works as long as I use a "gentle" or "soft" attack. warning: striking at the wrong time with a heavy hand can disrupt and be unmusical
The B8 Pro Chinese cymbal is great because it has a bright, powerful, and yet short attacks and it also has some nasty overtones that are great for those special effect gigs or shows. I think that every drummer should own one.
