I PURCHASED A METAL X 18" CHINA SOUNDS GREAT AND TRASHY AND QUICK AND VERY CUTTING!!! THE MONEY WAS WELL SPENT ALTHOUGH AFTER ABOUT THREE WEEKS IT STARTED TO WARP AND BEND. ITS VERY THIN!!! REMEMBER THIS! AFTER A FEW MONTHS IT BROKE... BUT OVERALL THE CYMBAL IS GREAT ONE AFTER MINE BROKE I GOT ANOTHER ONE THIS ONE IS DOING MUCH BETTER!! I HAVE HAD IT FOR 9 MONTHS AND I STILL SOUNDS LIKE MY LAST ONE BUT I THINK THIS ONE WAS MADE A LOT BETTER NO WARPING AND NO CRACKS SO YEA METAL OR HARD PLAYERS THIS IS YOUR CHINA YOU WILL NEVER USE ANYTHING ELSE!!!
As with the whole Metal-X series, this is a great cymbal! I play in a band with two drummers on full kits and this cymbal has no problem cutting through. I went with the 20' and I think I'll pick up the 18' as well. Nice dark tones without sounding too trashy. When you hit this thing, people will notice. If you're already reading this and considering one; do it, you'll love it.
