"GREAT PRODUCT!!!"

Although the listing for this case displays only certain models of Sax that will be accommodated, I called SKB and talked to one of their techs who said that if you have a bigger-belled horn you can take a small plate that resembles the diameter of the horn's bell and place it inside the case and close it up for an hour and it should form factor the polyurethane to your horn. I play a Cannonball Big Bell Stone Series and it fits nice and snug. This case is very attractive with a professional conservative appearance and is very durable. It comes with a lifetime warranty which I think closes the deal on a great Gig style case. If you don't weigh an inordinate amount of weight, you can even stand (no bouncing) on this case with the horn inside without damaging it. (Please do not misconstrue the previous statement as being recommended!) The only draw back for me was that I had to buy a shoulder strap separately as it does not come with one.

"Good Case - Needs more features."

I got two of these cases two years ago - alto & tenor - because I had to fly with my horns. The cases are much lighter and easier to handle than the standard Selmer wooden box cases. Both fit in the overhead and the alto can fit under the seat. You must do this because the cases do not have locks. You cannot put them in checked baggage. This is their most serious flaw. Otherwise, they do the job. They hold the horns securely and there is plenty of places for accessories, especially in the exterior pouch. The other flaw is that they have a 180 degree hinge. When open, they lay flat. The alto case is small enough to open on your lap but it slides off when you remove the weight of the horn. I would prefer a 90 degree hinge or a retaining strap.

"Good case but not much space"

This case is solid and fits each one of my two Mark VIs nicely (even though they have quite different shapes). It has an external compartment which I use the carry the neck strap. Inside there is a slot for the neck but no space for anything else but the sax and the neck. I can carry my mouthpiece and ligature inside the bell, in a pouch, but other things like reed cases and music sheets have to be carried separately.

When I was a junior in high school I bought this case because my family and I would travel over the summer, and I needed to take my sax with me for upcoming auditions. I found that it's definitely not a case you would want to check with baggage claim since the interior isn't very cushy at all. The horn will move around in the case a little bit since its not a snug fit, so if the horn drops while still inside the case there wouldn't be much sock absorption from the fall. Your best bet if you buy this flight case is to buy a shoulder strap along with it and keep it close. This case will definitely keep your horn ding free, but you shouldn't think about using it for long trips.
