Bought one of these to go with my SPD-20. I'd owned an SPD-8 and stubbornly put up with one of those awful sewing-machine type switch pedals for the whole 15 years. What was I thinking? This thing is solid as a rock and tracks the way you'd want it to. You have to buy (or use) your own pedal, and of course it'll need adjusting because even though the trigger surface has decent rebound for a pad, it's still different from an actual head. Word to the wise: use a clean beater ball. The pad can get a little gummy at the strike point, especially with prolonged use in a hot environment.
