I'm surprised at how well this bass is built and it sounds good too. The only qc issue I have is there is a small rattle inside like a piece of plastic is floating around. An easy fix that I will do at some point. The neck pu has that lovely Hofner tone and the bridge pu adds some snap although I found it too weak and thin sounding to be used on it's own. Pros: Great sound, light weight, easy to play, well built. Cons: Crappy strings, control setup not very versatile (I'm a VVT fan).

I can not tell you about how well this beauty will last playin gigs, I dont play,( much ) yet! I have always wanted to learn to play bass! & I have always wanted a Hofner, I am a Beatles freak! I did own 1 Hofner icon series, very nice! This Rogue, in my opinion, is a better choice! Why, it is as well made! It has a few little things I think would add to the Hofner. The tuners are heftier, stronger,the tailpiece is not SO plain! I feel the Rogue's finish is probably slightly better, fewer blemishes! Shine, WOW! Every bit equal to Hofner! I have looked at the Turser, NO comparison! Sound, change the strings! I personaly love the mellow, deep, warm flatwounds! Attention to detail, Rogue has it! I am a short guy, & just fell in love with my Hofner,very comfortable in every way! Again the sound, it's a Hofner, looks- chrome tuners, scroll work on the tail piece, the frets are finished like hundreds$ more. Would give 5 stars if it came with decent strings! All & all, esp. for the $, Rogue is a very well made, great playing, fantastic sounding beauty! Out of the box, needed nothing but new strings, no adjustments needed on this 1! The Hofner was VERY poorly packed for shipment, had been scuffed due to movement within the box! This is NOT a cheap guitar! It's only priced that way!
