I am a young bassist, young not naive. I have been playing bass for five years now and this Rogue is the only one I have ever owned. This in itself shows that this Rogue is durable. To clarify, this Rogue has never broken on me, has not created any unusual disturbances, such as buzzing, and has only recently started to show signs of age. The bass itself is not lightweight, (what bass is), to the extent that my shoulder gets slightly sore after playing for over two hours consecutively. The bass has a very midrange tone, lacking in depth, though once hooked up to a pedal box has a good deep tone for the E and A strings only. The body of the bass has good, rich color. The strings are close to the neck so it provides a great opportunity for sliding, but also the strings space out away from the body providing good picking area without a tendency to scratch. The tone and volume knobs are liable to get stripped, (mine have). Aside from all this information, this bass is great for beginners, intermediates, or anyone who just wants to have fun every once in a while. There are minor flaws, but they just occur over time. I am satisfied with my Rogue and continue to play it every day. Overall, this is an ideal bass. -Caleb

this bass has recieved some negative reviews and im trying to figure out why! ive played this bass at church a couplae of times already and had no problems out of it yet. it looks good, it plays good, and its a wonderful bass for its money. all i did was change the strings and it works like a charm.

Rogue may not be one's first choice when ordering a bass or guitar, but this bass is a definite exception. The LX200B has a decent neck with fairly fast action and has an intermediate weight, which satisfies tone and the strain on your shoulder. The two tone knobs as well as volume knobs give players more options as opposed to the traditional single tone basses that are often found on beginner models. This bass offers the extra punch from the badass bridge installed, which is important for cutting through the guitar and drums. It also offered in 4 colors which give a player aesthetic options. I would recommend this bass to any beginner or gigging bassist who needs an extra bass in case of that proverbial fish toss gone awray.

This bass is a solid choice for beginners. It has below average tone, but for a beginner it gets the job done.

For the price that you pay... this bass is amazing. I'm mostly a guitar player.. but which guitar player can't play bass as well? So I decided to buy a pretty cheap one. But it sounds great. It looks great. All around great bass. Even for the more experienced players, I think this bass will be perfect.
