This is a fun guitar, not expensive, but plays very well. For a sit around and play or jam at a party it is great. I am trying to wear out the frets practicing on it. And yes it does play the blues well, also it gives the couple of classic tunes I try not to mangle too bad a new spin. I also have the ra100d. great practice guitars.

I fell in love with one of these that my brother owns. He is a phenominal professional player with a large collection of expensive guitars, mostly acoustics - Martin, etc. I was quite surprised to find he had bought such an inexpensive guitar - until i heard it! Sounds better than some Dobro & National models that cost quite a bit more. I was concerned it might be just that particular instrument & that another may not sound as good, but I ordered one anyway. It just came in today and did not disappoint! Loud and clear with that great nasal tone for slide. The extra volume makes it ideal for a campfire or sailboat guitar (the main reason I bought it) Great action - very playable right out of the box and it has a very nice fit and finish.

Loud, excellent dobro tone, flawless finish. Although this is an import, its not a cheap knock-off. It has an actual sound well and comes with a spun cone not a pressed one. I did change one thing, the tuners work fine but I had a set of high dollar ones laying around so I changed them out. Everything lined up from tailpiece to headstock. I plan on buying another one to be dedicated to a different tuning.

"Not too bad"

As a long time bluegrass player I decided I had to try the dobro. Not wanting to spend a lot a I purchased the Sunburst Squareneck. Visually it looks pretty good. The sound isn't bad. I am looking to put new strings on since the wound ones are very dull and murky. I suspect the strings are very cheap. There is moderate buzz on the 4th string. I am concerned about changing the strings due to the fact others have said their tailpieces have cracked. For a cheap dobro, not bad. But if you've got the cash, go with a cheap Regal.
