The Rickenbacker 4003 Bass is famous for its ringing sustain, treble punch, and solid underlying bottom end. Since i started playing professionally back in 1967, I have had the opportunity to play just about every bass guitar around. Vintage, new, hybrid, cutting edge, I've played them all. And when all is said and done, I come back to the guitar that is made for truly professional bass players - Rickenbacker. This guitar is no different. From the moment I took it out of the box and tuned it, I knew that this is the guitar that will go on tour with me and be my primary stage axe. Quite simply, it is the best for the best.

I am a touring pro with over 30 years of experience on Bass and Lead Guitar. I bought this bass to add to my collection which normally contains a few Washburns and, of course, an Ibanez Black Diamond. After a couple of shows with this Ric, I have relegated all of my other basses to the rehearsal hall and the studio. I'm so impressed with the quality of the bass that I'm going to buy a Ric 6-string to go along with my guitar collection. Deep smooth sounds and great high-end tones without screaming strings or having to put the contour off the charts.
