With the world's top drum corps and marching bands seeking brighter snare sounds with increased projection, Remo has kept pace by integrating state-of-the-art materials to withstand the increased tension. These Clear Crimplock Snare Side Heads look and sound great on the field.
Remo Ambassador Clear Snare Side Marching Head
From the inventor of the first synthetic drum head, Remo Belli, come the heads that proudly bear his name. Remo offers the widest variety of sizes, coatings, weights, and styles of any manufacturer. Remo Ambassador drumheads are medium-weight (10 mil), general purpose heads, and Remo Emperor drumheads are heavier-weight (14 mil), heavy-duty heads. Remo's Marching Pinstripe drumhead retains the tonal quality of the traditional Pinstripe but provides added tuning capability and endurance. The 2-ply, 7 mil CrimpLock head features an improved adhesive complimented by a crimped flesh hoop. This combination retains the tone quality of the standard Pinstripe while strengthening the head to withstand the demands of a high-tension marching environment.

My snare, along with the others I play with, have good sound quality with these heads. With this head, so much of the sound of the drum can be adjusted without tightening either the top or bottom head. Also, Pearl doesnt make their own drumheads, they get their heads manufactured from Remo, so when you get a Pearl drum, or even a Yamaha, you're getting a Remo head.
