These microphones have excellent transparency and a smooth sonic signature. The mics are not bright but are fast and excellent with cymbals and instruments. Highly recommended

These microphones are incredible! I am using them primarily as overheads for studio miking a drumkit. To test drive the mics I set one up over the kit and did a two minute recording. I couldn't believe it, with only one microphone recording, it picked up every voice of my kit with precision and beautiful tonal quality. I am still amazed that this microphone could make such an incredible difference. Purchase them, you won't be disappointed!

Yes, I know this is probably one of the most over-used clichTs used when describing a microphone, but if any mic fits the bill, the NT5 pair certainly does. Some say that the NT5's are a little dark. I disagree, they simply don't have the unnatural high-end hype that many mics do.I have used the NT5 pair I bought from Music123 for several live gigs. Usually set up as an X-Y coincident pair a few feet in front of the performers. The band members never fail to comment on just how close the recordings sound to the actual gig. No super-hyped high frequency "sheen", these mics simply reproduce exactly what your ear hears on the day.Probably one of the most natural sounding SDC mics I have ever used.
