QSC RMX 850 Power Amp
The RMX Series

Muscular Power Plant
The power supply is the heart of an amplifier, converting raw AC power from the wall to clean DC for the audio circuitry. The RMX uses a powerful high-current toroidal transformer and ample filter capacitance to ensure generous energy reserves. This makes a critical difference in sound quality, allowing the amp to effortlessly punch out high level transients, even when driving abusive 2-ohm speaker loads.

Superior Performance
RMX amplifiers deliver true studio-quality sound. A full complementary output circuit using the highest-grade linear output devices delivers ultra-low distortion ( <0.05% THD) & a ruler-flat frequency response. SMT (Surface Mount Technology) triples small-signal component density, enabling us to pack up to 2400 watts of power in a chassis only 2 rack spaces & less than 16" deep. And unlike other designs, RMX output devices are direct-mounted to the heat sink for optimum thermal coupling & cooling.

Proven Reliability
With over 30 years of building amplifiers for the largest touring companies and venues around the world, you can count on QSC's reputation for designing the most reliable amps available.

I had this amp for 4 years now and it never fails me. Some people might think because is 800 watts is not worth it, but it is! I have 2 Peaveys pr15and they sound great and loud. This amp will never shut down on you.

I have always been involved w/ every aspect of my bands, but recently, decided to invest in owning my own PA. I bought a QSC rmx series amp to drive the mains against everything I've been told (Buy Crown or stay @ home) I've been running the QSC for about a year now and it has performed beautifully. Ample power for my 700w per side 2x15 mains running in true stereo. I can push them right on the razors edge for hours and the amp never gets hot or distorts sound. Loud as heck!!! I will be buying another to power my 18's soon. Currently I am using my guitar players JBL power amp but I know the QSC will out perform and outlast the JBL. Don't get me wrong I am a home audio/video installer in my day job and my company is a licensed dealer of Harman/kardon - JBL equip. and that is the parent company of crown, I love that stuff if money is no problem. However QSC is hands down the best bang for the buck when it comes to pro line amplification.

I have a QSC RMX 850 amps in my amp rack currently and am pleased with it! I have had it in use since July of 2008 it is being used to power the mids of a triamped system and does a great job. I will at some point move this to the Highs when I can afford a QSC RMX 2450. I recommend this amp to anyone looking for a quality amp to power a small full range system, monitors or the high / mid on biamped or triamped system. GREAT products QSC!

Just purchased this unit. Initially I was going to purchase a Behringer 2500 because of the price and wattage. However, I'm glad I went with the QSC. Less power but better investment. Quality sound. It does what the features says it would do. Had my first gig and it worked great. I was pushing a Behringer 18 inch sub and it made it sound better than it would with another unit. Can't beat the warranty. I plan to purchase another one soon. QSC will be the only amp I'll ever buy! Trust me and go with the better investment.
