This Is not a bad Drum set for the price. Always remember drum sets won't always come with good heads, You have to upgrade. My advice to get better sound is to get Remo Pinstripe heads, They sound awesome with this set or any, The hardware isn't the best but you can't expect to have the best quality for the price. The snare is kind of fluffy and quiet change the head or get a new snare. To get the best sound out of the toms to stop the ring is to get aquarian rings for the set it definitely fixes the problem. And for the bass drum I would get either the Evans emad 2 or the aquarian super kick II. Great starting kit
