I got this for Christmas (well, early christmas) and it is really neat. My flute's handel was broken and this makes it so much more comfortable to lug to school each day! Great buy!
I love this case & have had lots of people ask me where I got it! Very lightweight & large, but not really bulky. It is made of a durable nylon material. (the black is really dark, not gray like the picture) Outside compartments hold a small metronome or tuner. Comes with a shoulder strap. Two music compartments: one with mesh in front & another, slightly taller, closed in space behind that. The exterior "piccolo" pocket is actually large enough to fit a B-foot, french style flute case. I easily fit my Yamaha picc, spare headjoint, & my flute & picc stands in the pocket. The main compartment is tall & wide enough to fit two french style flute cases stacked on top of each other. (great when you need to carry a picc & a second flute) When I need to travel with my music stand (boring old collapsible metal kind:) I can zip it up in the exterior pocket. It sticks out a few inches but the zippers are secure so it doesn't move or fall out. Ok, possible downsides: very large; your flute case probably won't be snug in the compartment (mine is long enough, but the extra height means it tends to roll); mesh lined music compartment isn't large enough to fit large pieces of music; main case compartment doesn't completely close because of the clip (the top corners are slightly open... beware of rain); holes in the front pockets (why?).
I find this product to be good except for the fact that my music stand is too long to fit in the back compartment.I purchased the case hoping that it was a true carry all, all except for the music, to add that to the design would cause the case to be large cumbersome and in summary not efficient.I was disappointed with my stand not fitting in seeing as I walk with my instrument, stand, and music a mile to the nearest train stop and then onto a subway and another mile to the school where I play music as a volunteer.The design is nice and compact, but deceiving, it looks like any fold up stand can fit in back but it cannot.
Everything fits very well and i like that I can fit my music stand in it.
