This is a great pad. I use to own an old Remo pad. This one is far superior to it. The snare sound is emulated very well. The sound of the ball bearing is even, even if you play on the edge of the pad. This is quite worth the price.

Simply put, this pad is a fine purchase. I've owned just about all the major pads out there. The metal plates and bearings underneath do a decent job of emulating a snare sound which isn't diminished as you push towards the edge of the pad. It is worth mentioning that this is one of the louder pads I've owned. It has excellent bounce, which is cool if you're like most and have one hand that's a bit weaker than the other. But keep in mind though that there is a fairly significant difference in the feel and rebound of this pad versus your typical marching snare with a Black/White Max batter. Additionally, this pad travels a little more easily than my 12" Real Feel which is both larger and heavier. Having said that, I would still have to say that if you're looking to buy your first pad, go with 12" Real Feel(double-sided). But if you're looking for something a little different and/or smaller, this pad is a good buy and fun to chop-out on.

This is a great pad! It has a silent snare sound and my mom loves it. She doesn't have to tell me to go to another room anymore. It's awesome. Get this pad,you won't regret it!

This drum pad is the coolest thing I have ever seen.It is awesome! It has great bounce to it and the ball bearings in the bottom make it sound just like a snare drum,but be careful about dropping it the ball bearings will fall out.

This is a great drum pad. It is very quiet and it has a great bounce. But be warned; the pad can make you sound better than you really are because of the huge rebound. But it is still a great training tool. GREAT!
