I previously owned a King Cornet and I needed a quick fix for an upcoming Christmas concert so I checked out the prelude on here in hopes that for 200 dollars it would be worth buying. To my amazement it sounds really nice I could not be happier. Great Beginning trumpet. good tone quality. Would work well if you needed a horn to complete an ensemble at the last minute. I can play high A's and they sound pretty. Give it a try. Hope this helped.

For the money... I was expecting something cheap. This trumpet is not cheap... it's mid-grade. All the slides work, and the valve action is great! I haven't played in 38 years as a teenager, but was able to start playing right away. Great beginner trumpet!
