I would give the Planet Waves Auto Trim Tuning Machines 6 In-Line ten stars if I could. Yeah, I know. "I had to drill six tiny holes!" If you can't precision drill six holes you ain't gonna be much of a guitar player. So for that reason, don't buy 'em. Those of us who can use a drill and play guitar don't want you too. But seriously, these things work dead on like advertised. What a pleasure. No needing an extra hand to hold the string just right to not roll up half a mile of extra string. Tune once and forget it. I won't change out my collector stuff but the other twenty plus will be getting the treatment. I've always felt inconsistent string wrap affected tone and sustain. I believe that now more than ever. I played the guitar minutes prior to changing this set out and minutes after (install took 15 minutes) and for a fact the tone was stronger and sustained longer. 'Nuf said. Gotta go play.
