NEW - "Not my favorite"

This amp is a decent practice amp, but it really cannot hold up to playing against two guitarists, each with a half stack, in my band. I really don't think that the tone can compare to some of the the other brands of bass amps I own or have owned in the past. Also, this thing is HEAVY and my bandmates hate having to carry it around for me, as I cannot lift it.

Before I bought this amp, I looked around for quite awhile. Trying to find an amp that would be able to handle my versatility, and not break me financially. I came across this beauty over a year ago and bought it on the spot. And to this day I don't regret it, except when my back's cracking n' popping while I'm lugging it up a flight of stairs, it's friggin HEAVY!!!!! Anyhow, this amp is more than able to express your creative vision clearly and with the jaw cracking punch you're looking for.

I recommend this amp for anyone. With the 7 band EQ this thing is very versatile. It has a contour switch, and you can also switch to active or passive mode, depending on what kind of bass you have. This thing really gives, I can hear it over my guitarist's Marshall Half stack clearly when he's pumping it, and I'm only at 7. Great amp for the value, please buy this, you won't regret it.

"Great sound and range"

I play cello in a rock band and use this amp for gigs. The amp is plenty strong enough for the speaker, and in fact I would recommend buying an external speaker for use with this. By itself, it could be louder, but for small gigs it's plenty. (By small, I mean probably around 80 people or so.) I would recommend this amp for it's range, and sound quality. With another speaker it could probably be up to 1 1/2 as loud, or maybe more.
